So whenever the lawn is mowed, I like to take some grass clippings and feed to my various birds. It's something they enjoy doing and something I enjoy watching.

First, you have the birds that dig right in and just make a complete mess:

Then, you have the birds that decide it makes great cover to hide behind:

Of course, you also have those ones that get so busy scratching that they completely lose the grass and end up with dirt:

Last, but not least, you have the super lazy birds that just lay in it like a huge, comfy bed:

Didn't your mother tell you to chew your food when you eat?!

Well, I hope you've enjoyed this little insight to Mow Day as much as I enjoyed taking a few pictures of it.

They are something on mow day....we catch the crickets and grass hoppers that escape the mower and feed it to ours. With all the grass clippings and critters they get then just think they are in heaven... We spoil ours alot...they like to sit on our laps. my husband really has them spoiled....when i go out to do what he normally does, they sqack at me as if they were trying to say "hey, look at me, your not doing this right". It is funny and i love it
