My hen is a little over a year. I did my usual cleaning today, cleaning out coop, spraying down the area, water, food, sandbox.... They all seemed fine. I picked up my light brahma... And this thick almost like saliva came dripping out of her mouth. Is this something to be concerned? I'm hoping it's nothing, like I picked her up after drinking water... But I've never seen this before. Energy seems fine, but her feathers look a little dirtier than usual but that could just be my heightened sense of paranoia at the moment. Please help?

When you picked her up did you accidentally squeeze her crop? It doesn't take much to push stuff back up through the mouth by putting pressure on the crop. If you squeezed a bit too tight in the wrong spot, you could get some...return.

In the absence of any real signs of problems, I would monitor her, but not be overly concerned.
