I knew chickens took dust baths, but I didn't know they took mud baths. Is this common? She was soaked and filthy and it was pretty cold out. She went to bed still kindof wet. Crazy girl.

My girls take mud baths all the time[IMG] I've even seen them pecking at muddy water in puddles. They love it:) I would watch her though if she is going to bed wet and cold. She could get sick?

Glad to know. Thank you. I've never dried a chicken. Haha. Just use a towel? Or hair dryer?

Anytime:) Towel is great, but hair dryer on low would work best. Also, You only have to dry them if its cold outside
