It has been brought into question whether or not this particular duck is a mule duck or pure muscovy - what are your opinions? He is around 12 weeks old and is HUGE!

I am not sure if it is a true scovie or a mule. But I do know that he is beautiful! I love his coloring!

You are absolutely certain that isn't a female?

I'm not absolutely certain about anything but out of a group of 6 that were the same age he is the biggest, has big feet and is bigger than my definately full grown hen.

Pretty bird! The bill doesn't look Muscovy to me but the rest does. Might be a cross, in which case, you've got a mule.

Here's a pic of one of my Muscovy girls' bill -see the pronounced "scoop" with point at the end?:

Mules seem to have the prettiest patterns. Too bad they can't breed. [IMG] Maybe you can clone him, though. [IMG]
