My 10-12wk chicks had a couple of bloody stool spots in their bedding this morning. This is the first time I've seen them poop like this. I've seen chicks shed intestinal lining, but I don't typically see it in multiple spots.
Should I start treating for cocci? Everyone was acting fine but I can't think of another reason for the blood. Thoughts?

I would treat with Corid/amprollium, just in case of coccidiosis. Dosage is 2 tsp (10 ml) of the liquid, or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5-7 days as their only source. Can you post a picture of the bloody droppings? Are any acting sluggish or standing around not eating or puffed up?

@Eggcessive

Here are the photos. They seem to be acting normal currently

Yes, I would go ahead and treat with Corid. Blood can sometimes occur with worms, but since your chickens are still young, treat for coccidiosis.
