My Muscovy girls have started laying!!!! :celebrate

I only picked 3 eggs yesterday but I know more are to come. Anyone else's muscovies laying at this time of the year? How many hens do you all have? I think I may have 30 hens but I will have to count to be sure.

[IMG] I bet you have double that estimation. [IMG]

No eggs here and I have 11 girls and I just counted to make sure. [IMG] they are awful sneaky about hatching them without us knowing right KG? [IMG]

Might be a good idea. [IMG] No one is even mating here except my youngest drake has taken notice of the girls and can be seen chasing one down until one of the older drakes puts a stop to it or goose patrol steps in.

Three hens on nests, quantity of eggs unknown. Will candle tonight if it's not too cold, lol.

I sure hope not. I know that I have a LOT of drakes that I have to process. :hit

I will have to do a walk about to make sure they have not layed in secret places. :/

I want more ducks like you want more *white* peachicks! [IMG] Unless they pretty far along I'll probably dispose of them. Way too many mouths to feed right now. As far as future breeding goes, I think I'll try to breed just chocolates and see what happens, but I'll have to build a chocolate pen first.
