Well i just got three new muscovies about a "few months" old and i was wondering if they would fly away if i let em out of the pen? And if they will try to fight with my other ducks and chickens?[IMG]:fl

Sorry to disagree but muscovy do fly. Females fly. Males fly until they are too large but can until then. Mine just got their flight feathers in and I looked outside to see my females maiden flight. Their wings were clipped the next day.

Muscovy hens are very good flyers and immature or smaller adult males are also capable of flight as are most feral muscovies. There will probably be at least some initial quarreling with the other birds in your flock.

they can fly like a darned bandit! One of my ducks has been seen flying a couple of acres away...when she came home I did fix that problem with a big ole scissor...my drake is too fat to fly...if he were human, he would need three seats on a commercial jet to hold his wide load...
