Muscovies- stopped laying eggs

My muscovies started laying eggs in the fall. They continued for a couple months, and then stopped. I haven't been getting any duck eggs for over a month. Is this normal? My chickens slowed a bit with laying, but didn't stop completely. Thanks!

Chickens and ducks tend to slow their laying over winter - - - they should start laying again normally in spring.

Sounds like these are young birds so that's not uncommon with winter setting in. I do have a 7mo. old who is laying but a bit sporadically. Don't be surprised if next winter, with adaquate food & shelter, they lay through the winter. My 1 1/2 yr old hen is still laying & is beginning to brood. I've talked to another gal that I sold some hens to of the same age and they are laying/brooding also. I'm still learning a lot about the breed but perhaps Scovies will lay thru the winter once they reach full maturity at 1yr old
