Muscovy Behavior Interpretation?

    My duck tries to preen us a lot. He seems so excited to see us. But then he starts to nip harder and pull and twist. He starts making a huff, huff, huff sound. His head crest puffs up. I take this as territorial behavior. My daughter thinks he's just super excited to see us and can't control himself. He's about 5 months old.

    I'm pretty sure that's a possibility. He stalk us when we're in the house, going from window to window.
