I was given three Muscovy ducks today. I must say I am in awe. They are unlike any duck I have had. They have been well taken care of. The ladies are very sweet and tame. The drake tho, is just magnificent. His behavior is very intimidating tho. He seems to be very very grumpy, wagging his tail and kind of stalk me trying to nip at me. His owners said he has been very grumpy as well. Is this normal drake behavior?

Yep it's mating season. but tail wagging doesn't usually mean grumpy it means happy.
Pics when you can

Don't let him get close enough to nip keep him at bay with a long pole or broom not to hit but to just keep his distance.

For some reason i cannot upload an image. I will keep trying as his coloring isnt even like a typical Muscovy.
