    Hi,

This is one of my muscovy ducklings that hatched just over 4 weeks ago. He has some unusual markings (that I have not seen in any previous hatches) and I was wondering what this pattern would be called or how he will look when grown. His mom is mostly brown with some white on her wings. The father is dark brownish black with lots of white. The only other "possible" father if he ever mated with her the couple of times she crossed over the fence, would be another Muscovy that is almost identical to her, almost all brown with a little bit of white on the wings.

I just thought his markings were kind of strange for a muscovy!! Has anyone seen this before? Any idea what he will look like when he is an adult?

    Thanks!

Thank you! I have heard of barred muscovies but had no idea what they looked like, and it didn't occur to me that he could be that. I think I will go do a google image search and see what I find. I was just surprised to see such a pattern with both of his parents not having it.

    Thanks again!
