So we had 13/13 eggs hatch. The hen hatched them and everything is well. The ducklings are healthy and happy. But at what point is it safe to remove the ducklings from their mother? We have some homes lined up as we can't keep 15 ducks. We are just unsure of how long they need to be with mum. They are all very friendly and like people. I've been searching everywhere! Someone please help

You can pull them as soon as they hatch or leave them with her until she is done raising them. If you pull them too early then she is likely to go broody again soon.

I prefer to let mama take the lead for a while, for each mum that depends, some end quickly by 3-4 wks others carry on for closer to 2mths. I feel if they put the time into brood they deserve the reward of the clutch to raise.

Besides duck raised birds have way better instincts than human raised ones, try as you might you are not a duck lol
