I would assume that the US standard of perfection would be closely tied to the German standard, perhaps I'm wrong.

I don't know many details about the German standard. I assume that the varieties of colors are the same things to look for. But when it comes to the features of the mask, the German standard requires a mask as fine as possible without caruncles. That's all i know, but if you know some details about the US standard, I would love to know.
