Hi. I have 3 drakes and 2 ducks. The ducks started laying eggs 2 weeks ago. I was taking the eggs, but today the mommas were still sitting on the eggs. I am wondering if they can hatch naturally if I leave the eggs with the mommas.

Anyone have any experience / input on this?

Yes, Muscovies make excellent mothers. Depending on where you are and the temperatures cooling off, you might want to pick the eggs up and let them go broody in the spring time. 3 drakes to 2 girls is not a good ratio. Be careful of your girls getting overbred. Good luck if you decide to let them sit on the eggs. Be sure to join the duck thread if you have not already
