Muscovys not breeding or laying...

I got 7 muscovys from hoffman hatchery, and they are now 6 1/2 months old and non have laid any eggs and I have seen any breed, Whats up?

It can take a while for muscovies to start laying. one of mine started today, she's 7 months, another took 8 months to start.

as for the breeding do you mean that the drake hasn't mounted any of the ducks? as long as the drake is healthy i'm sure he's doing his job. I have white muscovies so it's easy to tell by the muddy foot prints on the ducks backs.

Give you birds a little more time.
