mutt chickens. Unsure of gender and breed.

    Finally got my chickens into their new coop. Any ideas on gender or breed of these two. Pretty sure one is a boy but not sure about the brown one. They are almost 8 weeks old. I have three more but don't have great pictures of them yet.

    They look like red sex-link male and red sex-link female.

    Thank you all for the help. I was worried that Nugget (the brown one) was a male because of her larger comb.

    I'm not ruling out roo for the second one. The first one is def a roo, but I'm thinking someone had rsl x rsl and these are the results. More infor on where you got them would help, but since you listed them as "mutt chickens" make me think they're not first generation sex-links. That's a lot of comb for under 8 weeks, on the second bird. I'd check a pic in a few weeks and we may well be seeing saddle feathers.
