I know it is early, but I really would like a pullet for my lonely buckeye rooster. What do you think?

Thanks for answering ! The second one hardly has a comb at all, so I am hoping that is a girl! I was also wondering if the one that you say is a roo, has a single comb, I have heard that sometimes you get a throw back, or is that what the roos look like early on? I don't remember my roo having a comb like that at that age. I got the eggs from Crains run Ranch and incubated them my self, unfortunately I only hatched out these two!.

So far with my Buckeyes it has been hard to tell until at least 3 or 4 months. There were 2 I was sure were cockerels that turned into pullets and 1 I was absolutely positive was a pullett that crowed. Don't make your decisions too early, they will surprise you. [IMG]
