My 7 week old Ameraucana. I hope it's a pure breed!

I found a home for my white leghorn rooster this morning and bought this Ameraucana pullet from a local farmer who breeds them.

If someone knows if this is not a pure breed then let me know. It looks like she might have the beard in the picture, but I haven't been able to get a good enough look at her face yet.

She is just gorgeous and I really want another one! And I know my husband will just...

He doesn't see the purpose of having chickens.

I believe that is an Easter Egger, not an Ameraucana. It doesn't appear to be one of the standard Ameraucana colors. Here are links to the standard and links to a picture page of those colors:

Brown/Red is a listed color. But if she is just an easter egger I'm ok with that.

Definately EE...they are all beautiful!

I had one bantam who is from a stock of purebred Amercuana bantams from one of the reknown breeder and she was a cross by a Buff Amercuana and Blue Wheaton mom. She was lovely! They dont have her color as acceptable under the Amercuana standards but thats ok with me. She was a lovely eye candy!
