My artist friend Judy Welch I talk about is on her way to Manitoba with her BF and are just going through Brooking, SD and it's 7 below zero. I wish it were me instead of her, I love freezing weather, she hates it!

If I had the funds right now I'd be traveling up towards the Dakotas or Main. I was joking in another thread I'm going to post my Paypal address and say just send $5 support your local broke teacher! LOL,,, I love Canada and I've thought about finishing my Doctorate up there.

You wouldn't believe how tempting an offer like that is! I've been trying to get out this hot weather for a couple of years. I love my area, I'm a desert rat, but I've had too much trouble tolerating the hot weather in recent years.

I've never had a rat stay the night before....

....oh wait, I take that back.

    Just haven't seen any lately.

I'm in my childhood home and my sister's friend was staying the night and says..."You're cat is on my pillow."

Well, my sister knows our cat is always locked up with older sister in her room...so she says..."DON'T PET THE CAT."

She went and turned the light on and it was a rat. Jumped off the bed and went in my room and they didn't even bother waking me up. I was such a heavy sleeper back then...I probably cuddled it.

That is priceless! It reminds me of a movie from the 80's with Elizabeth Shue playing a babysitter who has to go to the city to rescue her friend and her friend thinks a sewer rat is a kitten.
