My phone rang at 6am thurs morning and over some very loud chirping, I was able to hear the post office say that my babies had arrived. It was pouring down rain and soooo cold, so I heated up the truck and turned the seat heaters on and was off to get them. I had turned the brooder lights on the night before to get it warm enough should they happen to come thurs. I'm so glad I did. Our night temps here have been in the upper 30's. They shipped 28 chicks, 2 were dead in the box and one died yesterday. The rest are very active and seem healthy, so far! I hope these pics work, I am terrible at taking pics. I have no idea what they are yet, doesn't really matter they are so cute!
Thanks so much! Today is my first day off since I got them, I haven't gotten any house work done. I have spent all day in the coop. They are so much fun to watch. I had forgotten how cute they are.
LOL... all day.. i belive it! I dont have my chicks yet but just seeing pics. of them brings back memorys!
First...Welcome to BYC!! And congrats on your new additions...they are so cute, and a nice mix. Aren't they fascinating to watch??? I got my first babies 4 weeks ago. You will be amazed at how quickly they grow and change! So enjoy each stage!
