Just have to show off my babies. 6 are silkies and 7 are sex-links. They hatched the night of the eleventh.. I am going to post a series of pictures of one of the red sex-links sleeping on a stuffed duck. Man, I swear it has narcolepsy.

    thanks.. I think so too.
have to put up two more.. I was taking one of the baby that was sleeping and all the rest came over to look. I snapped the picture and within about 10 seconds, they were all down and asleep. It is a bit scary how fast they fall over asleep.

Thanks for the chicky pics. It has been a long winter and I can't wait for chick season. Last year I got 25 babies from McMurrays and had to leave for KY two days later to help with arrival of new grandson. 3 weeks later I arrive home to find , teenage chicks who are afraid of me and did not like to be held, (hubby fed and watered but did not hug my chicks), this batch is still shy and not as friendly as my first hens are. Handling them early is certainly the trick to having friendly hens later and it helps if you have to catch them for doctoring. Enjoy your new fuzz butts. Sigh... spring is coming!
