My baby "Henny Penny" layed her first egg

    It along with any others she lays this week WILL be going in the bator!!!!

    I have her mother "Big Bertha" (a GIANT A & M) and her sire is Ike my tuxedo.....so soon I will have a great grandchick hehe If you didnt notice im speaking of Coturnix quails but i thought it applied here since it's eggs to be hatched hehe! I had to squeel about my FIRST pullet coturnix egg! [​IMG]

    It's nice she started on a monday...makes it easy, I could get 7 eggs if she's on a roll from the start.

    Heres her pretty egg i can't even call it little because for beinga pullet egg it's HUGE!

    I wonder if her adult eggs wiill be big like her mamas!!!

    Wow, her momma lay's delft eggs. How cool. What sorts of colors do buttons lay?

    Coturnix eggs are normally spotted like this one above...but they can also come in green, blue, silver, brown black, to pure white. [​IMG]
