My "baby" girl is 18 today!

Somehow it feels like a milestone. When my oldest turned 18 it was one thing, but now my baby...mothers can you relate?

Just wait until you discover you children are in the forties.

I am so proud of the young lady she has become...
yet sad because her time with us is about to end, she'll be leaving for college within the year...
yet excited that our empty nest time is almost here...

I think it must be time to get more chickens [IMG]

I know exactly how you feel
    So very Pround and yet
so very sad also, but to me
no matter how old they get
when I look at them I still see that
little baby I brought home from the hospital.

    Tell her Happy Birthday!!!

Will do - her great grandpa was from Kentucky, born in a little log cabin.

Yep, I can still see her just learning how to walk. She was so small and petite, she looked just like a doll.

[IMG] It's a mixed feeling I can totally relate.....I felt glad and sad on that same day!!!! Well I can totally relate.....

If it helps you at all, studies say that humans don't totally develop all their decision making skills until late 20's.....so she may still need some mothering along the way.....

Keep the ears open and the arms ready for a hug for her.

Have a blessed day and congrats to the both of you!

(Chickabator, I love how you put it, yes I still see the child from the hospital and all the childhood stories.....I continue to embarrass her with lots of them, I'm afraid).....
