heres the coop i built for our small los angeles backyard, just finished the nesting box three days ago
and got an egg today. thats good timing.

1/2 cdx plywood and some 2x4s. originally used when they were all chicks, seven of them then.
added on some longer legs to raise things up a bit when all the ladies grew up.

the roost is a 2x4 thats rounded on top. the top of the coop also opens up on hinges to air things out.
i use wood shavings for litter. emptied things out for a monthly cleaning.

couldnt have done it without everyones help here, thanks everyone here

ignore the bunny hutch stored on top

the front opens up to let in the sun and air to dry out the coop when needed

the ramp up from the roost to the nesting box, made to big lady dimensions

    easy access from the outside

    looking inside the nesting box
