My Beloved Gizmo - RIP

All my friends here on BYC have watched my sweet Gizmo grow up. He was such a beauty - my blue Partridge Brahma boy. Well, we came home last night from being gone all day to find him dead on his roosting spot in his coop. There wasn't a mark on him. The coop is preditor-proof and he was fine the day before. There was plenty of food and water. His girls are fine. It's a mystery that I'll never know, but my beautiful boy is gone.

I'm so sorry! He was so gorgeous. Sometimes, roosters just die of heart attacks or internal issues we can't see or figure out. Hens do, too, but roosters seem to succumb to heart attacks more than the hens. Maybe the stress of their jobs or something? Who knows? What a terrible loss for you.
