My big 11 week girls are roosting on the bar at night!!!! Yeah!!!!

    For the longest time, they (GLW) were sleeping in the nest box. I would clean it out and they were still sleeping in it. I was about to close it off to them until week 18 but tonight when they put themselves to bed - they were on the roosting bar looking very pleased with themselves. My girls are growing up fast! hatched may 20th.

    They also are learning to go up the ladder when they hear thunder and the rains start to come!

    For chicken brains they are getting pretty wise!

    I almost took a picture but then I thought about how I would feel if I just put myself to bed and someone flashed me with a bright light! sorry for lack of photo!

    Good for the girls! I have a runt roo that still sleeps on the floor unless I put him on the roost and he's 17 weeks old!
