my big hen keeps attacking my little chicks thats with the mom

one of my red hens already killed one of my little chicks and now shes attacking the other one i don't know why she is doing this can someone please help me

I've been lucky and my broody took very good care of the chicks she hatched so the other hens didn't bother them. You may have to separate the momma and baby (or babies) until they are a bit older.

I don't know why they do this all I know is you need to separate them immediately!

the mom thinks its me that is hurting the baby so she attacks my when i am trying to get the other hen off of the chick .. they free range so i can't really do that

wait till it gets dark outside when they are sitting you may be able to catch them better at that time. I know during the day I can't pet my pullets but at night I can go out and am able to pet them. Hope this helps
