I'm not seeing BSL (black star) in these shots - can you get a clear shot of the comb area or see what sort of comb the bird has or is developing, OP?

I bought it as a barnyard mix. I'm not really sure what breed it is. Let me try. Still doesn't let me get too close. I don't really see any big comb though.

Looks like a hen to me.

It's not a Black Sex Link (Black Star). Too much tail and no copper or reddish feathering around the neck, but it is definitely a hen.

I got two like this at a sell yesterday they have no red on them as I can see and no red on the face but I was told at the sell they were bsl pullets
