Just wanted to share some sorta recent pics of my BLRW. These were actually taken on December 10..but they are still pretty! Will have to get more recent pics!

This is Gertrude, with the two roos in the background. She's the only one who's laid so far but she quit when the cold snap hit.

This is Diesel. I love the lacing on his breast area. I plan to match him up with Lacey, who's a deep mahogany with blue lacing, and see how their offspring do.

This is Deuce. I'm fixing him up with Gertrude and Edna this spring. Deuce doesn't have very nice lacing on him, but I do really like his coloring.

This is Lacey..I need to get a better pic of her because her coloring is sooooo much better than this now!

This is my third girl, Edna.

Quote:As soon as they are laying! LOL

I must add, I ordered these from McMurray, so they ARE hatchery stock. I am hoping to add some breeder stock to my BLRW this year.

Quote:Thank you! This is my first time owning them, but I was pleased with how they turned out for being hatchery stock!

I'm sure there's someone out there who has some better than mine, but I'm sure excited to see what I can get from them!

    Nice looking birds, Quali_Antwerp [IMG]

I just love mine [IMG] When you get ready to add some stock later on, let me know. Mine are Lowell Barber line. They should be laying any time now [IMG]
