    Wow, no question about his gender, is there? Beautiful little guy! Bet he'll be a great BIG guy when he grows up, though. I'm anxious to see how large this cross really gets, with both Suede's genes and Brahma genes.

    He IS beautiful, and quite the gentleman. He behaves like a calm cool protector. I wasn't going to keep a roo, but, changed my mind about him, I will keep him with his sisters, and just eat the eggs. Does that sound gross?

    Sounds perfectly normal to me, actually. People do breed brother to sister, it isn't taboo with chickens, but you don't want to continue to inbreed over many generations without bringing in new blood.
