Here is a picture of my beautiful baby Black Sumatra chicks from Rare Feathers Farm that hatched out Saturday night-Sunday morning. Sadly, one died trying to hatch.
It's a world of wonders these babies hatched-the box that the eggs arrived in looked like it had been used in a punt, pass and kick contest(it was actually dented), but thanks to RFF's great packing job, I got these beauties.
    RFF-they are SO feisty!

I am optimistic and have named them Xandra and Trinity(please be little girls [IMG]).

  4. I'm glad you got some to hatch! I'm sorry about the USPS' horrid handling job! [IMG] You'll have to post some updated pics as they grow! I'm guessing you have a pair, though...

They are growing so fast, it's ridiculous. They want to fly so bad they can't stand it so I guess it's time to send them out to the big brooder box next to the coop-I'm just not ready for them to be so far away from me, yet. [IMG]
They are so cute, they use their little food bowl as a bed which means ALL of the food must be kicked out of it first.
I've been letting them out to play with my little duckling(under my supervision, only). At first, they would peck her in the beak and knock her over, but now that she's a bit bigger, she chases them and they run screaming like little girls. [IMG]
I need to post some more recent pictures so everyone can see how beautiful they are.
