My California whites first egg!! (not white)

Pearl laid her first egg! 4 1/2 months old. I always thought that California whites lay white eggs? She definitely laid this one. Light brown with a bunch of white speckles.

Not a California white. Maybe an Amberlink.

A California White will always lay white since they are a mix of grey leghorn and white leghorn.

Looks like you got something different.

I bought some of what I was told were white leghorns at a show. One layed a light brown creamy colored egg. Upon closer inspection I noticed the ear lobes had some pink in them so I suspect she was a mix of some sort.

I got her from Rural King. She could be anything honestly.

She has pink earlobes I believe
