my chick has a bloody thing coming out of its butt!

The chick just hatched I think because it's still wet. Whatever is hanging out doesn't look right, has anyone heard of this before? I'm afraid it's gonna die.

I think that what you're looking at is the chick's umbilical cord, it's nothing to worry just don't pull at it! In about in a few days it should fall off. Congrats on the hatch!
