My Chick Keeps Closing her Left Eye

Recently my hens have been pecking each other when eating their normal feed or grass. I found solutions to this but before I could begin any, I noticed today that one of my 5 month old hens keeps closing her left eye. It has no cloudy layer/3rd eye lid and when she opens it every so often it looks fine, but why does she keep closing just one eye?

May be a slight injury or foreign object in the eye. If it continues or gets worse, I would apply ophthalmic ointment to the eye.

Thank you! Thankfully it was fine by the following day but I plan on buying said ointment for next time. My only question is how would I get it in her eye if she doesn't sit still?
