My chicken (10) weeks now I think is a rooster bite me!

I've been talking about this on another thread about "Breeds in General" And am sadly saying I have a rooster.... And he's an EE bantam, one of my favorites....

But last night I was feeding them treats and he bit me on my wrist, flapping his feathers and wouldn't let go. I picked him up to settle him down, and he did it again....

So long story for a very short question. IS he trying to exert his "rooster-ness" on me??? Has anyone else had this?

Lol, yes, I think he's exerting his rooster-ness on you. Some roos are kind, some can be quite mean. My dad used to have one that came charging at whoever walked into their run. He said you had to whack it with their watering can or it would start to attack your legs with his spurs.

give him a shot in the chest, knock him back a few feet, hell get the message.

He's a really sweet bird except for that time.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to give him away.

My neighbor's don't want to hear a rooster (I wasn't supposed to get any roosters)

he's a beautiful bird.
