This is my mom who swears she hates chickens,, I caught her sitting on my porch holding Big Sis, the bigger of the fat, fluffy, stripey looking hens. I had to sneak around a bush and catch her; she then tried to drop the evidence:

I absolutely love the look on her face, caught red-handed holding a hen. I pulled in the back drive about 1/3 of acre behind my house, she never heard me coming.

Think she was just holding it, or squeezing it for an egg?

So you know...it took some quality time together to get to that point;) Chickens are such peaceful and great company! I gave my RIR hens (8 of them) some wheat crackers last night, came home from work and those big girls had filled all three nesting boxes with 10 (!!!) eggs! TEN! That's the most eggs I've ever gotten, 9 was the top all winter and they always reserved that number for the day after I cleaned their coop:)
