My chicken is loosing feathers.

HELP!! My chicken is missing feathers on each side of her head behind her ears. What could be causing this.

How old is the chicken? Can you post a picture of her head, showing the loss of feathers? How long has this been going on? Does the chicken act healthy otherwise?

There can be several reasons for missing feathers including moulting, mating, pecking and mites. Look for them.
