Hi my chicken is throwing up, she has been doing it for one day. When she started doing it she was sneezing sort of and looked like she was trying to clear her throat. Her crop was soft yesterday but i let her free range today to let her get more food. Her crop was hard after today. She has thrown up less but when i am holding her she does it. Thanks!

How are you holding her? Check her crop in the morning before she has a chance to eat. It should be empty. Post pics if you can or a video. ( Post on YouTube then link) also a list of everything you give to her, feed, treats, vitamins, and anything else. If you can isolate her for the night and check her poop that will help also.

I hold her like a show bird is held or pressed against me. I just checked it is very hard in the morning and big. Her poop is very wet. I give her show bird food and her normal feed. She also gets some scratch. Thanks I will post pictures.

Someone just had the same symptom with their chicken and it died shortly after...... read the thread "Hen has sour crop I think.....". Weird though, they think her hen died of a heart attack.

Is she sneezing at other times, or was it just a one time issue? Sour crop or impacted crop are serious problems. They may occur alone, sour crop may follow a previously impacted crop, or they may occur secondary to another problem in the body where the crop slows down. Reproductive problems are some that may cause it.

Be careful to not squeeze the crop accidentally when handling her which can cause vomiting. Here are a couple of good links to read about treating crop problems:
