Is that normal?
I always say one of mine sounds like a duck that is being strangled when she loses sight of her sister...
I have noticed some of my girls make honking sounds on
occasions. I think it must be normal.
I don't know how old your chicken is, but I have a 17 week old pullet that has honked like a goose for several weeks now. She has finally started sounding more like a chicken as she has gotten older. If I didn't know better I would think the feed store mislabled her, but she is a beautiful production red.
dont you love it mine
get excited and honk music to my ears...
you all do know the difference between chicken and goose don't you
I have two honkers, of my 17. Well, a few still sound like youngsters, so I may still get another.
Quote:Lol.....mine honked so convincingly I sometimes suspected she was playing mind games with me...
I have a red star named Radishwho honks. I have never heard her make a peep, a cluck, an egg song...nothing. Just honks. It's her language and it makes her special.
