Anyway, my young black sex link pullet is barely putting any pressure on her right leg. Yesterday, on of our guests was not looking where he was going and nearly stepped on one of our hens. She quickly ran past him, but came out with a bad limp. There is no swelling or obvious broken bone. There is only a scrape on the injured leg. I tried feeling for any broken bones or obvious discomfort when touching certain areas of her leg, but came up with nothing. The injury occured at about 5:00 june 6th, without showing any signs of improvement. I have applied hydrogen peroxide to the minor scrape, and she is separated from the rest of the flock in my small bathroom. She sometimes tries to put pressure on the leg and just ends up limping really bad. Also, the injured leg is much warmer then the non-injured leg. Any diagnostics?
