Can i still feed them the chick starter? I really dont want to waste it and since the feed store don't accept refunds. I know they need protein and other things too as they grow bigger. So Im thinking of feeding them the chick starter including other things that will give them what theyre missing from the chick starter.

There isn't anything missing from the Starter. It is a complete feed. No worries. Feeding them some additional things is fine, just keep it down to around 10% of their caloric intake and they'll do just fine. There is no cut off age on the Starter.

Not an endorsement of Purina Feeds. However, here is their Feed Chart. Like almost all companies, one option is to feed Starter all the way til the first egg is in the nest.
