I change their water everyday, I give them their vitamin s and electrolytes since it's too hot and humid, I do everything that I can think possible to make them happy, I already lost my favorite " elvis " and now my one du'calle is sick and I have her inside trying my best to nurse her..... I hope somebody knows a lot about chickens and give me some ideas on what to do!!!

I posted about my chickens getting sick and searched the internet for any way to save my birds!! anyway I found a comment adding 4 tps of apple cider vinegar on a one gallon water on their drinks !!!! and OMG it works!!!! thanks to the commenter!!! but besides that I also gave my bird ( who's really sick ) the anti biotic ( through mouth diluted with water ) and vitamins and electrolytes. since she does not drink when I put it in her cage, I pick her up and slowly open her beak and squirt it using a syringe, I also put some feeds in her cage and she would'nt eat it so I got some cooked rice add a little water and force it in her mouth gently, now after three days she starts eating on her own drinking and actually slowly showing her usual personnality!!!! after loosing my elvis i was determined not to loose any of them again........

This would be a good website to browse (as is BYC). Click on chicken care articles. Somewhere on her site it says not to give electrolytes for longer than 3-4 days ... I don't have time right now to hunt for it, but read her articles and I think you will find it.
