My chickens don’t have combs and wattles and aren’t laying yet. Why?

Hi. I am a new chicken owner - so this might be normal and I just don’t know it. But my hens are 20 weeks old and they still don’t have combs or wattles. Their flesh is more pink than red. My speckled Sussex has black on her comb / face. Also, they aren’t laying. I’m not too concerned about laying - I got them more as pets than food providers. But I want to make sure they are healthy. Their appetite has increased over the past week - so maybe they are just hitting a growth spurt late?

I have 10 hens - all different breeds. Here are some pictures of a couple of them. My Wyandotte and Barred Rock do have small red combs and small wattles. The other 8 do not

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

They all look healthy and normal. They certainly do have combs and wattles, they are just small.
The black on the Sussex looks like her normal skin color.
They are young yet. Give them another 4 to 7 weeks. The eggs will come.
When the combs really start getting red and plump and the pullets start squatting, eggs soon follow. I'd put out a container of oyster shell for them now to get them interested in it.
