I know y'all must think I'm crazy for making such a big deal about my chickens, but you have to understand that even though I grew up in the country in NC, I've never had any kind of livestock or farm animal until now. I've never had a fresh egg (until today! ) and I'm 41 years old. So, in case you haven't read the other 3 threads where I've already posted my eggciting news... my 5-1/2 month old BA laid her first egg yesterday! Here are some new pics of my chickies, all grown up now. And some pics of my first ever home grown egg.
