Great pics! I know the feeling. I watched mine grow from wee day olds to strong hearty roosters and hens. The barred rock is a great breed and I have 6 of them myself. How many roosters and hens do you have?

unfortunately, its looking like about 4 hens and 7 roosters... we're gonna be eating a lot of chicken very soon.

Really nice looking group. Our two BR's seem to be the most inquisitive of the bunch. I really like the breed a lot.

Quote:I feel your pain. I picked 12 straight run chicks and 10 turned into roos. So my oldest BRs, which I call my "first fleet", or the ones I started on, are both roos so they will be going in the fridge soon. It hurts a little but I do love fried chicken, lol
