my chicks were sold to me as ameraucanas...true or EE?

where did you get them?

rule of thumb: if you didn't go to great lengths and great expense to track down a breeder and buy true Ameraucanas, then they are EEs.
 
They're Easter Eggers - but hey, they just might turn out to be little darlings!

If you do decide to get true Ameraucanas down the road, there are several of us on here that have them or you can go to the Breeders List at the ABC site.

EE's are for those of us who like variety in life and like to have surprises along the way

We have them because there is no breed standards we can have fun with them and never worry if the color isn't right.We try for the wildest colored unique and unusual here with ours.All of ours do lay green so I only focus on my daughters need to go crazy..her EE project is wild

We have our Ameraucana's as well they are beautiful but honestly my EE's have much better egg color most of the time.
