My chicks will not stop eating there bedding

I have just swiched my chicks off of paper towels and they keep eating straw. I was just told today that pine shavings are better but can not get none for a few days.

A little straw won't hurt them if they are eating the feed and drinking. If you think they are eating too much put the paper towels back down until you can get some shavings.

Ok thats good to know they are eating and drinking, the excitment might had made them get hyper there on there roost asleep right now.

They will spend time scratching around and eating all sorts of little things in the hay as well as the hay itself. As long as the problem isn't continuing for extended periods they will usually be just fine.

They just pick out the real small strans I just worrie to much,
