My chinese Slikie is getting nose bleeds

    My Chinese silkie is getting nose bleeds all the time, I first thought it was because she couldn't see so I trimmed her hair around her eyes. But she is still getting nose bleeds. Can someone please help me out

    I don't know. Maybe an injury or you may want to get a flashlight and see how far you can look up her nose.

    Hmm maybe she cut herself or the other chickens are picking at her? Whatever the case, I hope you can fix it!

    I think it would be a good idea to post in detail at "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures," thread. I've never heard of chickens having nosebleeds unless they injured their nose.

    is there any chance she got into rat poison or ate a poisoned mouse or rat.

    I just wanted to let you know there is a disease called infectious laryngotracheitis that can cause blood in the mucus coming from the windpipe, but I don't know how likely it would be in your case. That would not be the same thing as a simple nosebleed.

    Or maybe she has a clotting problem?
