Ok, so my favortie little cochin cockeral (who is 1 day shy of 7 weeks in this pic) was just having chill out time with me on the sofa earlier when I noticed HE HAS FIVE TOES on EACH FOOT! [IMG]

Why I haven't noticed this before is beyond me. [IMG]

He looks like a cochin to me..... [IMG]

Does he have a little bit of Silkie in his family tree?
He is a pretty little boy.

Those are the cleanest chicken feet I have seen except for on chicks.

I don't know the answer to your question. [IMG]

he is definitely cochin- maybe there was an affair back down his line with a silkie?

Haha, I can see it now......

"Mama, how come I don't look like the other chickens?"

thinking.... "I always knew this day was coming."

"Well, son, your great, great grandpa......"

Just more for me to love, I suppose! Just thought it was odd and had to double check. Funny thing is, I think he's one of the most well built Cochins I have! No shows for Fabio....oh well!

Thanks, Chicksaresweet! He's still in the brooder, they prolly won't stay like that once he goes outside next week.

Oh and he crowed for the first time this morning too! I thought someone was dying, so I jumped out of bed to check on them. Didn't occur to me until I had seen it several times what he was doing. [IMG] It sounded awful! Hahaha!

    Thanks, everyone!
