My Coops

Hello,

I got my idea to build my coops from this site. I raise two different breads of chickens. Every other day each bread get to free range. Smaller cages are mainly grower cages, however I have one bantam set of chicks. I am going to build another for a third bread. What do you think of my set up thus far?

That's a pretty cool little 'chicken compound'!

Do they free range outside of the fencing shown...or just outside their hoop coops inside the fencing?

How do you access the feeders in the smaller hoops?

Yes they free range out side fenced in area. I have pull up door on ground pens. I'll take pictures of them when I get off work.

Nice set-up, do you get winter? here all that would be buried unfortunately, plus we have coons? they'd get into some of the larger hoops.. they make housing a challenge here.

Yes it gets around 30 degrees. How you see my coops is how they are year round. During the summer I have fans for the coops. We have several coons and moles. I have a German shepherd that patrols. Never really had a problem.
